Did you know that you can create an inexpensive car wash by mixing a little hair conditioner and clean water? Using conditioner will make the finish on your vehicle shine, looking as if it were just waxed. It will even repel water. For best results, use a conditioner that contains the ingredient lanolin.
If you have ever washed your car by hand, you know how much elbow grease it takes to remove dried bugs, tar, and bird droppings. Instead of relentlessly scrubbing away at these tough-to-remove spots, try spraying a little WD-40 on them. It also works great for removing old bumpers stickers.
Need a window wash that won’t harm your window tint? Try using vinegar. Combine half a cup water, half a cup of vinegar, and a quarter cup of alcohol in a spray bottle and mix well. Spray the mixture on your windows and wipe down with crumpled newspaper for a streak-free wash.
*Although these tips are harmless, it’s always a good idea to test on a small area first.
